Select Krobotek Birth, Marriage and Death Records
During Fall 2007, BB member Ed Malesky worked with FamilySearch
(LDS) films of the church records for Krobotek (Hungarian: Horvatfalu; Croatian:
Hrvatski Kut), which are actually the Weichselbaum (Badafalva) records, as it was the
official recording location for Krobotek, to research his mother's Ehritz family. He eventually
digitally photographed "virtually every page from 1825 to 1890 with an Ehritz on it (about 900
photos)." He then extracted all the Ehritz information. There were 258 birth records, 61 marriage
records and 99 death records.
Note: this is an incomplete (partial) transcription of the available Weichselbaum
records. Nevertheless, it includes some records for Weichselbaum (Badafalva),
Henndorf (Ercsenye), Krobotek (Horvatfalu), Rax (Raks) [all
were in the Weichselbaum parish] and for Jennersdorf (Gyannafalva) and
Potschendorf (Pócsfalu).
He recently shared his work with the BB and we present the extracted information here:
