A new website,OK2Explore, opened , where users can search vital records as well as purchase copies. This initiative allows genealogists and other historians to view Oklahoma birth records occurring more than 20 years ago and death records occurring more than five years ago.

AccessPA - automated library services in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. In the fall of 1997 there were 1,425 school, public, academic and special libraries on the database, containing over 23 million holdings with over 3.3 million unique records; confusing if you don't have a library account in Pennsylvania, but may be very useful for PA residents. Try searching for the name of a newspaper, then contact your library to find out if microfilms are available through interlibrary loan.

Obituary Index--St. Louis Public Library - The records in the database are drawn from death notices, burial permits, and obituaries published in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch from 1880 to 1930, 1942 to 1945,
1960 to 1970, and 1992 to 2014. Search by last name, first name, and year of birth or death. An addendum to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch obituary index covers January 1975 to June 1977.

Death Index--St. Louis County Library - Drawn from the St. Louis Globe-Democrat and its predecessors, this index currently covers 1860 to 1861, 1880, 1881, and 1883.

A new statewide database allows Wisconsin residents to more easily obtain birth, death, marriage and divorce records regardless of the county in which the event occurred, so long as the event occurred in Wisconsin, according to a news release from the Rock County Register of Deeds Office dated .

Old Military Maps redrawn 1:200,000 - redrawn Hungarian military maps; less detailed, but easier to read

Omni Resources - large interesting selection of maps; Topographic Quadrangle Map 1:50,000 (Item 64-1452); legend is in German but you can understand that they show cities, roads, bridges, churches, castles, etc. They also show smaller villages that are not on travel maps. From the homepage, go to Quick links / Maps. From there, go to International Maps. Select Countries / Austria. Scroll down to Austria Topographic Quadrangle Maps (catalog number of 16-1453).
