ST. MICHAEL'S
CEMETERY |
Background -- St.
Michael’s is a non-sectarian cemetery located in East Elmhurst, Queens. It is close to the Triborough Bridge, and readily
accessible by car. A number of Burgenlaenders who lived in Manhattan their entire lives ended up being buried in St.
Michael’s because of its proximity to the center of the City. |

General Observations --
Tombstone markings at this cemetery are not that good, but because the cemetery is relatively small it is not that
difficult finding burial sites when grave locations are known. Staff at the cemetery are helpful and will take the time to
provide good directions on how to get to specific gravesites. |
