Mischendorf: Civil Marriage Records

This database is courtesy of BB member Patrick Kovacs.

The transcription of Mischendorf records from the Mischendorf civil recording district records is for the years 1895 to 1921 and consists of the complete transcription of the 735 marriage records. Copyright remains with Patrick Kovacs.

Name spellings (both surname and given names) have been standardized in this dataset to allow easier searches; you should check the original image for the exact form that appears in the records. [Standardized means only that a single form of a given name, or of what is believed to be the same surname, is used in the records, regardless of what was recorded.]

Mischendorf was also known by the Hungarian name Pinkamiske, the Croatian name Miška and the Romanes name Mischka. The name Mischendorf is used for all entries in this collection (regardless of the variation entered in the original record).

The Mischendorf civil recording district included itself and the villages of:
- Badersdorf (Hungarian: Pöszöny, Croatian: Pesem),
- Großbachselten
(Hungarian: Nagy-Karasztos),
- Kleinbachselten
(Hungarian: Kis-Karasztos, Romanes: Boslina),
- Kleinzicken
(Hungarian: Kis-Ciklény, Kis-Cziklin, Croatian: Mali Cikljin),
- Kohfidisch
(Hungarian: Gyepufüzes, Croatian: Gornji Fideš, Romanes: Fidescha),
- Kotezicken
(Hungarian: Sárosszék [old Szék]),
- Neuhaus in der Wart
(Hungarian: Ori-Dobra, Croatian: Dubrava), and
- Rohrbach an der Teich
(Hungarian: Jobbágy-Újfalu, Croatian: Lorbica, Romanes: Orbica).

The civil marriage records were digitized twice by FamilySearch, being available on the following sets of films; the first was the source for this transcription:

familysearch.org/search/film/005036285 (1895-1921).

familysearch.org/search/film/007106065 (1895-1917), and
