Answer: Poppyseed filling (for previous amount of dough-2 rolls) does not need to be cooked.


POPPY SEED FILLING (FOR STRUDEL)

Ingredients:
  • 2 cups ground poppy seed - use fine blade of grinder
  • mix with 1/2 cup sugar (can be added when grinding poppy seeds)
  • add grated lemon rind to taste (try 1 Tbsp.)
  • pinch of cinnamon (optional)
  • enough milk or cream to make a moist spreadable paste
Notes:

Spread on rolled dough; top with 1/2 cup raisins if desired.
