Zillingtal (Völgyfalu; Kroat: Celindof)
Village of 800 residents in the Eisenstadt district.
Zillingtal is a bilingual municipality; the population is about one-third Croatian. First mentioned
in 1271, destroyed in 1529 and 1683, then resettled by Croats. The large Baroque Catholic parish
church was built in 1659 and has a Rococo interior.
Zillingtal was combined with Steinbrunn (Stinkenbrunn) in 1971; civil records are there
(FamilySearch films 665244 - 665246, 2350228 - 2350230). Old tax records (Urbéri tabellák,
1767-1773) are on FamilySearch film # 1529868.
