Robert S. "Bobby" Creamer, 91, formerly of Nazareth and Cherry Hill, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017,
at Gracedale.
Born in Gamischdorf, Austria on March 27, 1926, he was the son of the late Floyd and Marie (Fabsits) Creamer.
He was a graduate of Nazareth High School, Class of 1944. Bobby was a self-employed painter.
A charter member of Grassy Island Creek Rod & Gun Club of Greeley, Pike County, Bobby enjoyed hunting and shared many fond
memories of his stays at the hunting camp.
All who had the pleasure of knowing him will miss his infectious laugh and inviting personality.
Bobby is survived by two sisters, Annetta Fehnel of Wind Gap, and Maggie Ramage and her husband, Robert, of Maryland, as
well as nieces and nephews. Bobby was predeceased by a sister, Irene Stoudt.
Services will be private, at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted

Anna Schweihofer
Anna Rose Schweihofer, age 91, of St. Clair, Michigan, went to be with our Lord, Friday December 29, 2017.
Anna was born February 9, 1926 in Sopronbánfalva (Wandorf), Hungary to the late Matthias and Angela (Mesterhazy) Prinner.
Anna met the love of her life, Pete, in 1945 in Germany. She became an Air Force wife when she married Pete on November 4,
1946. In 1964 Anna bravely traveled alone with her ten children from the U.S. to live with Pete in Italy, while he was
serving in the Air Force. They enjoyed 70 years of marriage before his passing on October 12, 2017.
Anna was an active member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Clair, where she was a member of the D of I, Rosary Alter
Society and participated in many other ministries of the church. Anna was a devoted catholic, raising her ten children
within the church. She was a very caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother.
She is survived by her children, Dorothy (Stephen) Gilliland, Angela (Mike) Young, Monica Myers, Roseanna (Ron) Roberts,
Cindy (Gerry) Corbat, Tim (Alice) Schweihofer, Mary Boese, Theresa (Mark) Ranshaw, Pete (Cathy) Schweihofer and Paula (Bill)
Mazzola; 39 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; brothers, John and Frank Prinner. She was
predeceased by sisters Frida Koch and Katharina "Ida" Koch and her grandson.
A Funeral Mass will be Saturday January 6th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Clair. Interment will be in St.
Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hours are Thursday 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Friday 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China
Twp. and Saturday 10 to 11 a.m. at church prior to mass. A rosary will be prayed Friday evening.

Ernest Varga
Ernest C. Varga, 89, of Richmond, Illinois, passed away Friday, December 22, 2017 while in the company of family members,
at Mercy Hospital, Rockford, IL.
A son of the late Charles and Mary (Puhm) Varga, he was born in Chicago, IL on July 13, 1928 and raised in Schandorf,
Austria.
He married Eleonore Reiger on April 12, 1955, in Deutsch Schützen, Austria.
He graduated from the University of Illinois with a masters degree in structural and civil engineering, owning and operating
Varga and Assoc in Richmond for 54 years. He was a life member of the American Society of civil engineers and the Illinois
and Wisconsin professional and structural enginers,
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church Richmond, a founding member and past grand knight of St. Joseph Knights of
Columbus Council #8366 in Richmond. He was Past president of Richmond Rotary Club and recipient of Paul Harris fellow.
He served in the U.S. Army as a CPL in the Korean War from 1953 to 1955.
Ernest is survived by his wife, Eleonore; a daughter, Edith Mary Varga, of Richmond, IL; two sons, Ernest Julius (Karen)
Varga, of Richmond, IL; Edward Carl (Paige Soule) Varga, of Richmond, IL; a sister, Mary Rosina Wolff, of Bluemont, VA; four
grandsons, Franz Luke (Eleni) Mussared Varga, Hans Matthew Varga, James Reiger Varga, Peterson James Rosius Soule; and a
great granddaughter, Eleonore Lyn Mussared Varga.
He was preceded by his parents, cousin Charles Puhm and brother-in-law Roger Wolff.
Visitation will be from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday December 27, 2017 at Ehorn-Adams Funeral Home 10011 Main St Richmond,

Herta Zickgraf
Herta Zickgraf, 74, of Vernon, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home on Nov. 27, 2017, after a long illness.
Herta was born in Güssing, Austria, and immigrated to the United States in 1961.
Herta was a member of Holy Counselor Lutheran Church in Vernon and enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking and doting on her
family.
Herta was the beloved wife for 54 years of Klaus Zickgraf, of Vernon; devoted mother of Robert Zickgraf and his wife,
Bernadette, of Vernon, Eric Zickgraf, of Vernon, and Susan Potzer and her husband, Jason, of Vernon; loving "Oma" of Chase,
Hannah and Andrew; and dear sister of Ingrid Stimpfl, of Austria.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m., on Thursday, Nov. 30, at Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94, Vernon. Interment
to follow at Glenwood Cemetery, Glenwood.

Julius Leitner
Julius Leitner, 85, of Clifton, New Jersey, passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2017.
Born and raised in Gaas, Austria, Mr. Leitner came to the United States in 1956 and settled in Clifton. He was employed as a
cabinet maker with Sommer Company in Carlstadt for many years and then Missbrenner Prints in Clifton, retiring in 1997.
Mr. Leitner had been a faithful and active parishioner at Holy Trinity R.C. Church in Passaic. He was a member of the Holy
Trinity Choir and served as a lector at German Mass on Sunday. Mr. Leitner also was a member of the Holy Trinity Golden
Agers, the Kolping Society and the Mens Tri Club.
He was predeceased by his parents, Julius and Susanna Leitner and one sister, Hilda Kapescki, all of Austria.
Survivors include: his beloved wife, Mathilde (née Kaindl); four children, Maria Leitner, Erika (Alois) Weiss, Judy (Peter)
Tropona and Julius Leitner; ten grandchildren: Jennifer (Wayne), Christopher (Joanna), Karl (Michelle), Peter, Jude,
Vanessa, Julius IV, Harrison, Ava, and Alexa; three great-grandchildren: Brooke, Leo and Jackson; one sister, Johanna Neukum
of Kinnelon; and one brother, Wilhelm Leitner of Austria. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Theresa and her husband,
Frank Eller and by many nieces and nephews in both the United States and Austria.
Visiting hours will be held Sunday from 3 to 7 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral

Andrew Spiegl
Andrew Spiegl, age 98, died at his home in Encino, California on Friday, September 15, 2017, after a 3-month illness.
Born on March 5, 1919, in Zurndorf, Austria, Mr. Spiegl apprenticed as a grocer before he and his family fled to Vienna in
1938.
He rescued his entire family from the Holocaust by securing them all visas and passage out of Europe.
Mr. Spiegl arrived in the United States in 1939, when he was 19 years old, where he met his future wife, Liese Sondermann, a
refugee from Germany.
He began working in the kitchen of the Biltmore hotel in downtown Los Angeles.
He and his wife eventually bought a small grocery store. Mr. Spiegl later went into sales, ultimately opening his own
business, Bonus-Built, where he invented, among other things, a space-saving cart that the US Postal Service still uses.
Mr. Spiegl tirelessly recruited and fundraised for the City of Hope, raising millions of dollars. About 20 years ago, he
developed the City of Hope's Board of Governors. That organization recently made Mr. and Mrs. Spiegl honorary Lifetime
Members.
He leaves his wife of 74 years, Liese; his sister, Margaret; his daughter, Deborah Spiegl Slosberg; four grandchildren, and
numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Linda, and his sister, Judith.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 19, at Eden Memorial Park, 11500 Sepulveda Blvd, Mission Hills, CA
91345.

Emil Bartolowits
Emil Bartolowits, age 95, of Ninilchik, Alaska, died at his home surrounded by his children on Saturday, Aug. 26, 2017.
Born on Oct. 20, 1921, in Weichselbaum, Austria to the late John and Aloisia (Kloiber) Bartolowits, he immigrated to the
United States through Ellis Island at the age of 8.
He grew up in Pittsburgh, Pa., where he met the love of his life, Fran, and married her on June 29, 1946. Together they
traveled to Clam Gulch, Alaska, and were one of the original homestead families in the Clam Gulch area.
Emil enjoyed making beer and wine, fishing, golfing, dancing and playing cards. In later life, he loved processing meats and
cooking for the family.
A true patriot, Emil served his country, from 1940 to 1946, as a Platoon Sergeant in the Marine Corps. He fought in the
South Pacific and was a Purple Heart recipient.
Emil was preceded in death by his son, Eric; and his wife, Fran.
He is survived by his daughter, Tessa and son-in-law Tony Wilson; son, Paul and daughter-in-law LaRae Bartolowits; son, Rich
Bartolowits; grandchildren, Allen Wilson and his wife Stephanie, Michael Wilson and his wife Angela, Jennifer, Ashley and
her husband Garrett, Michelle and Matthew Bartolowits; and great-granddaughter, Niki Wilson.
Emil's final words were: "Everything is fine."
A Celebration of Life Mass, followed by a reception, will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017, at St. Peter the
Apostle Catholic Church in Ninilchik, Alaska.

Joseph Klucsarics
Joseph Klucsarics, 87, of Whitehall, Pennsylvania passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2017.
Born in Punitz, Austria, he was the son of the late Franz and Rosa (Marakovits) Klucsarics and came to the U.S. when he was
24 years old. Mr. Klucsarics first settled in Passaic before moving to Clifton in 1963, then to Whitehall, PA, 13 years ago.
Before his retirement, Mr. Klucsarics was co-owner of G&J Machinery, in Hackensack for many years until retiring.
He was a former parishioner of Holy Trinity R.C. Church in Passaic, as well as a member of the Burgenländer Beneficial
Society.
He was predeceased by his loving wife, Theresa (née Lederer), in 2016, and daughter, Diana T. Cucchiara, in 2005.
Survivors include: his son Roy Klucsarics, and his wife, Kathy, of Whitehall, PA.; his daughter, Sibylle Samiel, of Lake
Hopatcong, N.J.; his sisters, Theresa Brendli, of Pequannock, N.J., and Johanna Marth, of Austria; by his grandchildren,
Michael Cucchiara, Stephanie Samiel, and Christine Samiel; and by his great-grandson, Christian.
Funeral services will be 9:15am, Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at the Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Ave., Clifton

Eleonora Orovits
Eleonora Orovits, 88, of Markham, Ontario, Canada, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 10, 2017.
She was the loving wife of Frank Orovits for 60 years, cherished mother of Caroline, Annie (Nick) and Frankie (Adrienne),
and proud grandmother of Danny, Jamie, Jesse, Josh and Ella. She is also survived by her sisters Anna and Theresia.
Born in Burg, Burgenland, Austria, Ella was an active member of the Burgenländische Gemeinschaft and the Burgenländer Club
of Toronto.
Ella will always be lovingly remembered by her family and friends in both Austria and Canada.
Family will receive friends at the Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Ave. E. (East of Kennedy Rd.), on Saturday, August 26,
2017 from 1-2 p.m. A Memorial Service to celebrate her Life will follow in the Ogden Chapel at 2 p.m.

Gisela Wagner
Gisela Wagner, 94, of Gardiner, New York, died Sunday, July 30, 2017, at her residence.
Born July 12, 1923 in Felsőrönök (Oberradling), Hungary, she was the daughter of the late Johann and Gisela (Unger)
Schanter.
She and her late husband, John Wagner, and children immigrated to the United States from Germany in 1955.
They moved to Gardiner, N.Y., in the late sixties and became owners of the former Bavarian Inn on Route 44/55. Gisela was
the chef for many years, pleasing her customers with German specialties such as Sauerbraten, Wiener Schnitzel, etc. for over
30 years.
Upon retirement, she and John enjoyed traveling to Florida, Puerto Rico, and Hawaii.
As a widow, she lived with her daughter, Veronika and son-in-law, Stanley Moore until the age of 94. She loved animals,
especially dogs, including a pet chicken, Bertha. Her favorite dog was “Butch.”
Survivors include another daughter, Gertrude and Peter Wiggins of Atlanta, Ga.; three grandchildren, Mark Wiggins, Christina
Miller and JonPaul Moore; as well as eight great-granddaughters, Katie, Emily, Anna, and Mary Wiggins and Caroline,
Elisabeth, Caitlin and Chloe Miller.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2017, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Copeland Funeral Home, Inc., 162 South Putt Corners
Road, New Paltz, N.Y., 12561. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, Aug. 3, 2017 at 10 a.m. at St.

Zita Pigott
Zita Pigott, 96, of Madison, Mississippi, passed away on July 24, 2017.
Born in Güttenbach, Austria on March 11,1921, she was the daughter of the late Ignatius and Anna (Zwitkowitsch) Radakovits.
She married James Francis Pigott Jr., in 1946. They had six children: James F. Pigott III (Barbara), Carole Ann Pigott,
Linda Rigell (Steve), Michael Pigott (Cheryl), Vivian Neill (Walter), and Patrick Pigott (Dena).
Mama Zita, as she became known to the thousands of people whose lives she touched at Hal & Mal's Restaurant, was a staple of
the restaurant from the very beginning. She shared a laugh, a hug, a joke, always happy to see each individual. Whether she
was hostessing, accounting or taking concert tickets these past thirty years, she was always up for a good story and loved
it when her faithful friends and customers sent post cards from their travels. She enjoyed dancing the polka as she had in
her childhood (particularly the Chicken Dance) every year at the German Fest in Gluckstadt, as recently as 2016. She also
loved Edelweiss (the flower and the song), crocheting and spending time with her large family. Aside from her six children,
Zita, also had 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren who affectionately called her Gran.
She was predeceased by her husband James, and her grandchildren Mary Zita Pigott and Colten Michael Pigott.
Funeral services will be held at St. Richard's Catholic Church on August 1 at 1:00. Visitation for Zita Radakovits Pigott
will be held at St. Richard's at 12.

Anna Keuler
Our mother and grandmother, Anna Keuler (née Reisinger), 90, of Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, passed away peacefully on
the evening of Wednesday, July 19, 2017.
Mom was born in Mosonszolnok (Zanegg), Hungary and lived through difficult times in Hungary and Germany. She and dad
immigrated to Canada in 1954.
Mom worked hard all her life and was known as a generous and giving person.
Oma will be remembered for her cooking, baking and feisty disposition.
She is survived by her children Ruth (Craig), Horst, Anneliese (Dave deceased), Mary (Dan); 10 grandchildren and 18 great-
grandchildren. Anna is also survived by her sisters Johanna (Herb) and Liesel; brother Hans; and numerous nieces and nephews
all in Germany. She was predeceased by her husband Theodor; son Joseph; her parents and several siblings.
A Graveside Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 28, 2017 at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery, 815
Assiniboine Ave. E., Regina, SK. Please meet inside the cemetery gates.

Helen Mauhs
Helen Elizabeth Mauhs, 86 of Hamden, Connecticut, passed peacefully from this life on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at her home
surrounded by her loving family.
She was the beloved wife and best friend of more than sixty years to Karl Mauhs.
Born in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania and raised in Dobersdorf, Austria, she was a daughter of the late Rudolph and Mary (Venus)
Sambold.
She returned to the U.S. at the age of sixteen, settling in Sewickley, Pennsylvania with her family.
Helen had an amazing work ethic. Not speaking the language, she began working and quickly became fluent in speaking, reading
and writing English.
After marrying Karl, they moved to Connecticut, and settled in Hamden, where they raised their family. Helen worked at the
family bakery, Kramer's Bakery, for more than thirty years, mastering the art of cake decorating. In addition to working at
the bakery, she also helped raise her grandchildren.
Helen and Karl have been members of the German Harugari Singing Society of West Haven, where she enjoyed their twice a year
weekend getaways in the Catskill Mountains.
Helen loved to travel to local and out of state hockey games with Karl.
They had the pleasure to travel to Austria in 1999 to see her home and visit family.
She loved to speak of her youth in Austria, as well as the challenges that the war brought.
After retirement, Helen went on to care for children in Guilford and Cheshire as well as her own grandchildren. She gave all
of herself without hesitation, always loving and supportive, and full of true unconditional love.
Helen was an amazing cook and baker. She was always making family gatherings special. She couldn't go anywhere without
bringing her signature Apple Cake.
She is also survived by her children Margie Fisher and her husband Jack, AnnaMaria Mauhs, Karl Mauhs, II and his wife
Maureen, and Richard Mauhs and his longtime companion Daniele, six grandchildren, Carrie Gargano and her husband JD, Erin
Balisciano and her husband Jaime, Kelley Stewart and her husband Brian, Karl Mauhs, III and his wife Emily, Brian Mauhs and
his wife Sydney, and Alena Mauhs, and six great grandchildren, Ryan, Avery, Matthew, Jake, Dylan and Elliot. She was
predeceased by her brothers, Rudolph, Frank and Walter Sambold, and her sister Margaret Valenzi.
Wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, you will forever be a bright flame in our hearts. Your love and passion for
family will live forever. We love you.
THERE WILL BE NO CALLING HOURS. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial which will be

Agnes Walles, 97, of Midland Park, New Jersey, formerly of Whiting, passed away Monday, July 10, 2017 at The Valley
Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ.
She was the wife of the late Herman Walles, who died in 1999.
Born in Gerersdorf, Burgenland, Austria. she was a daughter of the late Georg and Agnes (Billovits) Frisch.
She lived in the Bronx, NY before moving to Whiting in 1978.
Agnes was a homemaker and a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting.
She is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Lillian Pirone of Rochelle Park, NJ and Betty and Gene Rahilly of
Bronx, NY; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Maria Stubits
Although we know Maria, our Mom and Nana, is now joyfully enfolded into the waiting arms of God and reunited with Dad, it
is with the greatest sense of loss and sadness that we announce the passing of Maria (Jandrisits) Stubits. Beloved wife for
50 years of the late Oskar Stubits; loving mother of Rose Mary, Helen (Simon), Oscar (Terry), Theresa (Kevin), Katherine and
Carol (Dave). Cherished Nana of James, Julia, Amanda, Mark, Emma, Erin, Rachel and Matthew.
Mom and Dad, both natives of Güttenbach, Burgenland, Austria, emigrated to Canada in 1954 and together built a life, a
family and a home, first in Winnipeg, then Montreal and Mississauga. Mom had extensive family in Austria and celebrated her
Austrian heritage but she was very proud to be Canadian.
Mom always considered her life a blessing. Dad was the love of her life and we, as her children and grandchildren, grew up
with her unconditional love, wisdom, generosity, grace, and sense of humour.
Thanks Mom for always, always being there for us. You were our rock. Thank you for your legacy of faith in God, hard work,
the importance of family, and laughter. God has you in His keeping, we have you in our hearts, forever. Say hi to Dad for

Joseph Scharnitz
Joseph Scharnitz Sr., 93, of Yardville, New Jersey, passed away on Sunday in Compassionate Care Hospice at RWJ University
Hospital at Hamilton.
He was the husband of the late Alline Scharnitz.
Born in Eltendorf, Austria, he was a son of the late Josef and Theresa (Schermann) Scharnitz
Joseph came to the United States of America at age 8. He originally lived in Allentown, PA, and moved to the Hamilton area
with his family in 1954, and was a resident since that time.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
He retired from U.S. Steel after many years of service. For a short period of time he then drove part-time for Rick Bus
Company.
In Joseph's spare time he was a member of the Hamilton Elks, enjoyed camping with his family, and also was a founding member
of the Sunny Brae Little League.
He also was a lifelong member of the Yardville Presbyterian Church.
Joseph is survived by his four sons and their spouses, Daniel and Dale Scharnitz of Roebling, Ronald and Annette of Ashley,
Ohio, Martin and Nancy Scharnitz, and Joseph and Nikki Scharnitz, all of Hamilton Township; one brother, Alfred Scharnitz of
West Palm Beach, FL; nine grandchildren; three step- grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call on Friday morning, July 7, 2017, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the Buklad Yardville Memorial
Chapel, 30 Yardville-Allentown Road in Yardville. A brief prayer service will be held at 12 noon with local clergy

Frank Dex, 91, of Allentown, Pennsylvania, formerly of North Wales, passed away Friday, June 23, 2017 in the Lehigh Valley
Hospital, Salisbury Township.
He was the husband of the late Carolyn (Cappellino) Dex.
Born in Zahling, Austria, he was a son of the late John and Theresa (Muhr) Dex.
He was a graduate of Allentown High School Class of 1944 and the Allentown Business School.
Frank was a Stock Broker for Merrill Lynch for 50 years before retiring in 2001.
He was a Navy veteran serving during World War II. Frank was a member of Jordan-Martin Lodge # 673 F.& A.M. and a 32nd
Degree Mason with Lehigh Consistory Valley of Allentown.
He was a member of the Central Schwenkfelder Church, Lansdale and the Allentown Exchange Club.
Frank enjoyed attending Broadway Shows on Thanksgiving weekends and traveling with his wife.
Survivors: Brother, Dr. Walter J., husband of Ruth Dex of Allentown; nieces, nephews and grand- nieces and nephews.

Josephine Kantz, 90, of Northampton, Pennsylvania passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2017 at home.
She was the wife of the late Frank J. Kantz who passed away in 1996.
Born in Stockertown and raised in Reinersdorf, Austria, she was the daughter of the late John and Rose (Stoisits) Stangl.
She was a member of Queenship of Mary Catholic Church and its Rosary Society.
She was a cook for many years for the former St. Joseph's Society in Northampton and later for St. Lawrence Rectory and also
had worked for the Universal Pants Factory in Northampton.
She loved cooking holiday meals for her family and polka music.
She was also a member of the Coplay Saengerbund.
Survivors: son, Richard, wife Vicky and their granddaughter Courtney Smith; daughter, Susan, wife of Gerald Newhart, Jr;
grandsons, Ryan, Nicholas and Christopher Newhart. Josephine was predeceased by her sister, Rosa and brother, John.
Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 23rd at 1:00 p.m. in Queenship of Mary Church, 1324

and donations to hospitals. She was also an avid bowler. Rose was a homemaker who will be dearly missed by her family and
friends.

Stefanie Schatz, 90, of Northampton, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 1, 2017.
She was the wife of the late Robert Schatz, Sr.

Stefanie enjoyed cooking and making pierogies at the former St. Nicholas Society in Northampton for many years. In her spare
time she also enjoyed knitting and spending time with her loving family.
Survivors: 2 sons, Ernest and his wife Linda, Otto and his wife Vicky; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; sisters,
Rosina Stoisits, Maria Mönichweger, and Helen Marx. Stefanie was predeceased by her son, Robert and brothers Frank, Edward
and a sister, Anna.

Alfred Bruckler
Alfred Brückler, 83, passed away March 23, 2017 in Naples, Florida.
Born August 21, 1933 in Güssing, Austria, and raised in Vienna, he was a son of the late Alfred & Karoline Brückler.
He emigrated to Canada but spent most of his adult life in Michigan where he had a long career in the auto industry.
He was a very dedicated family man and served as Vice President and Trustee for the Austrian Society of Detroit.
He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Heidi (Weinhofer), children Evelyn Slagon (Greg), Heidi Peter (Robin Kilgore),
grandchildren Brigitte Crawford (Tim), Erik Lawshe (Nicole Aeder), great-grandchildren Isabella, Henrik and Noah and sister
Karin Loriol who resides in Switzerland along with her children and grandchildren.
We are thankful that Alfred and Heidi were able to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary last year.

Anna Boandl, 82, of Allentown, Pennsylvania, passed away on March 21, 2017. She was married to her loving husband William
for 63 years.
Born in Rábafüzes (Raabfidisch), Hungary, she was a daughter of the late Julius and Frederica (Trinkl) Weber.
Anna was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed baking and gardening.
She worked in the garment industry and retired after 15 years as a custodian for the Salisbury School District.
Survivors: husband William; sons, Robert and wife Melissa Boandl, Ronald and wife Anita Boandl, and Richard and wife Tracy
Boandl; daughter-in-law, Kim Boandl; sister, Frieda Yost; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was

Irma Klemens, 88, of Canton, Ohio, passed away on March 19, 2017.
Born May 8, 1928 in Neumarkt an der Raab, Austria, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Maria (Mehlmauer) Lamm.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Klemens in 2004.
She was a longtime member of First Lutheran Church in Canton, served on the Altar Guild and sang in the choir.
She was also an active member of the Sachsenheim Club.
Surviving is her son, Herb (wife-Allie) Klemens of Massillon; granddaughter, Kristine (Jay) Dragos of Canton; and grandson,
Chad (Heather) Klemens of Hudson, Ohio; three great-granddaughters, Lucy Dragos, Natalie and Meredith Klemens; also three
sisters from Austria, Helene Neuherz, Justine Lamm, and Elfriede Gmeindel.

Marie "Mitzi" von Kaenel, 95 of Vacaville, California, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2017.
Born in Oberschützen, Austria on Dec. 4, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Gottfried and Maria (Heist) Kappel. She
immigrated with her parents when she was three years old to Forest Park, IL.
She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed reading, church, choir, socializing, entertaining and
family.
Mitzi was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 74 years, Earl von Kaenel, who she met when she was in first grade.
Together they traveled the world with their three children.
She is survived by her son, Larry von Kaenel (Carol) and their respective family including, Aaron, Van, Jacob and Hannah;
daughters, Susan von Kaenel and Diane Ekstrom; grandson, Jason Constant and great grandson, Hunter Constant; also survived
by her sisters, Grete Mueller and Helen Perry.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, March 21, at Bethany Lutheran Church, 621 S. Orchard Ave., Vacaville.
Burial will follow at Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Mrs. Paula Kogler Morris, age 83, currently of Summerville, GA, formerly of Colorado Springs, CO, passed away at her
residence.
Born in Sopron (Ödenburg), Hungary on April 2, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Johann and Maria (Hammel) Kogler.
She and her husband, Donald lived and raised their daughters in Germany. Once he retired they lived in Columbus, GA
and Colorado Springs, CO. Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Morris and two siblings.
Survivors include her three daughters, Carrol Morris and her husband, Steve Brown, Summerville, Marianne Thompson and her
husband, ClydeMoore and Theresia Melter, all of Rome. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren and two
sisters.
In accordance with Mrs. Morris’ wishes, she will be cremated and a private service will be held at the Georgia National
Cemetery at a later date.

Johanna M. Mulholland, 99, a longtime resident of Eddy Village Green in Cohoes, New York, passed away on Tuesday, January
17, 2017.
Born in Urbersdorf, Austria, she was the daughter of the late Johann and Theresia (Leitgeb) Gülli. She immigrated to the
United States in 1935 and became a citizen on September 3, 1941.
Johanna worked for Ford Motor Corporation in Green Island. She was aparishioner of the former St. Peter’s Church in Troy.
She was avid bird watcher and watching outdoor activities.
Johanna is survived by nieces and nephews in Austria and Canada. Shewas predeceased by her husband William P. Mulholland, he
died in 1973.
A calling hour will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm and a prayer service to follow at 3:30 pm

She enjoyed crafts, sewing and reading. She collected Teddy Bears for about 25 years and enjoyed traveling stateside and
overseas.
Surviving are many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Rose Mary Thomas, two brothers, John Thomas and Joseph Thomas.
Friends will be received from Wednesday, January 11, 2017, from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Fox Funeral Home, Inc., Saxonburg, PA.
